Season 10.06 - 28-10
The safari trip starts at the pier by Stappan Sjøprodukter AS in Gjesvær.
We set the course towards Tufjorden where we pre set our king crab traps. prior to the trip.
The trip to Tufjorden takes about 15 minutes. Once we arrive at the trap cage location, we pull up the traps by hand from about 60 to 110 meters in depth.
We remove the crabs that were caught and then reset the traps and lower them in the same area that they we found them for the next catch. When all work is done we return back to Stappan Sjøprodukter and Terrassen restaurant. At the restaurant, the boiling pans are ready for the king crabs to be cooked. It takes about a half hour before the crabs are ready to be eaten at our restaurant. At the trip end you will enjoy a fantastic meal with fresh crab of the day we just brought to be cooked, with bread and mayonnaise.
